Coaching and Leadership Development

I partner with higher education and nonprofit leaders in two ways:
supporting individual leaders directly and partnering with institutions and non-profits to strengthen leadership capacity across teams.

1

For Individual Leaders

If you’re a mission-driven leader navigating burnout, transition, team tension, or growth into your next role, coaching provides structured space to think clearly, lead strategically, and build sustainable practices.

2

For Colleges, Universities, and Non-Profit Organizations
Sponsored Leadership Coaching Partnerships

I collaborate with institutions and nonprofit organizations to invest in individual leaders through extensive, extended coaching partnerships that enhance leadership effectiveness, strengthen retention, and advance organizational sustainability, with opportunities to expand into

team-based leadership development.

For Institutions & Nonprofit Organizations

Sponsored Leadership Coaching Partnerships

Many institutions and nonprofit organizations want to invest in a specific leader a director, dean, department chair, executive director, or senior staff member and want more than a short-term coaching package.

I partner with institutions and nonprofits to provide structured, longer-term coaching engagements that strengthen an individual leader while aligning with organizational priorities.

This model supports both leadership growth and mission sustainability.

What This Partnership Includes

1. Individualized Executive Coaching

A customized coaching engagement (typically 6–12 months) designed around the leader’s scope, challenges, and growth goals.

Common focus areas include:

  • Leading through institutional or organizational change

  • Strengthening team alignment and accountability

  • Navigating complex stakeholder dynamics

  • Building sustainable leadership practices in high-demand environments

  • Managing conflict across departments or community partners

  • Clarifying vision, priorities, and capacity

The leader receives confidential, strategic coaching support tailored to the realities of higher education and nonprofit systems.

2. Alignment with Institutional or Organizational Goals

When appropriate, we begin by clarifying:

  • What success looks like for the institution or nonprofit

  • Key leadership competencies being strengthened

  • Strategic priorities influencing the leader’s role

This ensures coaching supports professional development and organizational effectiveness.

3. Expanded Leadership Development Support (Optional)

Often, coaching one leader reveals broader patterns such as:

  • Capacity strain across teams

  • Leadership pipeline gaps

  • Cultural norms rooted in urgency

  • Burnout trends among mid-level leaders

In these cases, I can also partner with your institution or nonprofit to:

  • Design targeted leadership workshops

  • Facilitate retreats or strategic planning sessions

  • Develop cohort-based coaching programs

  • Build sustainable leadership development roadmaps

Engagement Structure

  • 6–12 month coaching partnerships

  • Monthly or bi-weekly sessions

  • Structured goal-setting at the outset

  • Team training and development when appropriate

Investment varies based on scope and duration.

Higher Education

I’ve been working with Brandi as I navigate whether to stay in my current job and profession in higher education. She’s been an incredible support—an active listener who offers thoughtful feedback and meaningful reflections that have helped me clarify what I truly want in my career.

Victoria Lopez Herrera

Higher Education

Dr. Brandi Scott guided me through a thoughtful, step-by-step process for salary negotiations that helped me find my own words, practice through role play, and build real confidence. Her genuine and kind approach pushed me outside my comfort zone and ultimately helped me secure a higher starting salary.

Johanna Hunter Vera

NonProfit

Through our conversations and her coaching, I discovered that I was more prepared and capable than I had given myself credit for. After our sessions, I decided to apply for a director position in my field. Brandi was there every step of the way, from helping me prepare for the interview to questions to guide me through salary negotiations
when I was offered the position.
